Händel på Händer är ett cirkusmusikaliskt äventyr om den svåra konsten att balansera, samexistera och samarbeta. Till tonerna av Georg Friedrich Händels musik rör sig cirkusartister, musiker och operasångare tillsammans genom eld, vatten, luft och jord och undersöker olikheterna och det symbiotiska samspelet mellan elementen.
Olikheter och samspel som speglas i mötet mellan konstformerna och individerna. Hur kan vi översätta luftens betydelse för eldens lågor? Var går gränsen för att vattnet släcker ut elden i stället för att tämja den? Hur får vi cirkusen att vara en ”resonanslåda” för musiken, och tvärtom.
I Händel på Händer spelar musikerna all musik utantill (vilket är en cirkuskonst i sig), så att de är fria att röra sig, agera och kanske till och med flyga. Cirkusartisterna "spelar" sina cirkusdiscipliner som om de vore musikinstrument och stämmor i ett partitur. Det berättas ordlöst men från hjärtat och publiken bjuds in till ett samskapat universum där poesin och lekfullheten får skapa ordningen.
Under residenset hos Riksteatern arbetar gruppen med att utveckla föreställningen.

Händel på Händer is a circus musical adventure about the difficult art of balance, coexistence, and cooperation. To the music of George Frideric Handel, circus artists, musicians and opera singers move together through fire, water, air, and earth, exploring the differences and symbiotic interaction between the elements. Differences and interactions that are reflected in the encounter between the art forms and the individuals.
How can we translate the meaning of air to the flames of fire? Where is the limit to water extinguishing the fire instead of taming it? How do we make the circus a 'sounding board' for music, and vice versa? In Händel på Händer, the musicians play all the music by heart (which is a circus art in itself), so that they are free to move, act and maybe even fly.
The circus performers 'play' their circus disciplines as if they were musical instruments and parts of a score. The story is told wordlessly but from the heart and the audience is invited to a co-created universe where poetry and playfulness create the order.
During the residency at Riksteatern, the group works on developing the performance.
